The ILLUSIONIST

A 2006 movie starring Edward Norton as "The Illusionist" named Eisenheim, Jessica Biel as Sophia is the NEWEST FAVORITE MOVIE of mine.

I've watched it on Star Movies and it amazes me a lot. Being a fan of magic, illusions or any movies that trigger my imagination interests me a lot and this one defeated Harry Potter and the twilight series. Even me didn't have any idea on how the story would end...

So, the story is about Eisenheim and Sophia, childhood sweethearts who were separated because Sophia belongs to the upperclass while Eisenheim is just a cabinet maker's son. Years after they met again while Eisenheim is doing a show at a theatre... unfortunately, sophia is already in a relationship with a prince. Of course, the typical love story goes on... Still, their unrequited love goes on, so they made a plan...

(sigh!) I can't tell more, because it's so overwhelming and amazing... I really clapped my hands after...

Hopefully, one of this days you'll get to see it too.

Anyway, I've also watched "Sweeney Todd: the demon barber of fleet street"
- so, so... the ending is the same as Moulin Rouge (bitin!) may be that is the pattern of every musical turned to a movie thing, but hands up for the soundtrack and the costume... A+!

i salute her...

KC - I admire her... If I can trade one day of my life, I want to be her not because people think that she's the "perfect" role model for ladies our age, but because I like the way she's enjoying her life (on my own point of view)... She, inspite of the fact that she's a daughter of a very prominent person here in the Philippines she stands out by being humble and simple compared to others.

Of course she knows she's beautiful and surrounded by so many men, and probably even the most eligible bachelors would surely surrender their freedom just to be with her, yet you can't see it on the way she moves or acts. She just loves her stuff and enjoys what she really is doing. Acting. Singing and Dancing. Helping other people.

My point.

Yesterday, Sunday, 02/01/09 The Buzz She and Richard were part of the "tough ten" portion though some of their answers are "showbiz" it's ok. I really felt some kilig to the point that I'm smiling all by myself.. =)

And so she was asked by Ms. Kris Aquino

"Is Richard the most important man in your life now?"

KC answered:

"Ang mga guys kapag may pinursue na sila na girl, meaning sincere na sila dapat isa lang talaga, unlike girls... WE CAN HAVE OPTIONS. so... May the best man win."

(Love it! totoo naman diba??? If a guy really wants someone then that girl
should be their PRIORITY - yun at un lang and I get her point for the "may the
best man win" syempre, why would a girl settle for something less if she
deserves everything. Nowadays, I think the best part for "ladies" our age is
just mingle and meet different people so as to assess kung SINO BA TALAGA ang
PWEDE. Probably that's the reason for the existence of "EXCLUSIVELY DATING"
status which I agree... because with this status there are NO DEMANDS and
EXPECTATIONS which I think are the horrendous part of any relationships
especially if you're SUPER COMMITTED na...)

KC answered:

Anyways... yung mga sagot nila are not the exact words.. yun iba lang kasi di ko naman super natandaan...

So, whatever they have right now, may it be because of the movie or i don't know. I love the two of them.

and somehow.. get a Richard Gutierrez of my own.. (naks!) who will knock me off my feet not just now but until the end of time...
